Der geniale Ganove Grimm überfällt als Clown verkleidet die "Intercontinental Bank of Canada" in Montreal. Komplize Georges mimt einen ängstlichen Geschäftsmann, seine Lise eine hochschwangere Kundin. Die Polizei umstellt die Bank, Grimm lässt die "Geiseln" Georges und Lise (im "Bauch" lagert die Million) frei, entkommt als alter Mann. Auf der Flucht schaffen sie Abschleppunternehmer Lasky vom Hals, der den Plan durchschaut hat, und belohnen ihren dicken Taxifahrer. Das Trio fliegt nach Rom - bereit zu neuen ähnlichen Taten.
